The further you go back in time, the more valuable they can become. Within the Winchester line of Model 94 Carbines, those that were manufactured pre-1964 are the desirable (collectable) guns. I attached a so-so photo if that helps any. Any thoughts you can expound on? Any insight or experience you can share would be helpful. I'm mostly concerned about functionality, which I understand the 94's are suppose to be quite good anyway, but I don't know all that much about 94's overall to be a 'good judge of character' so-to-say on 94's. A friend of mine got it from his dad and I'm looking to buy it. It's in rather good shape.just a slight bit of light rust on the lower section of the mag tube.(it's from back east where it's so humid all the time) + only about a box or two of rounds through it ever in it's lifetime.
#Winchester 94ae serial
This particular year, serial number, etc of Model 94.is this considered to be any better or worse quality than other years? I know this particular gun seems to be a plain-jane version, and that's ok.but I'm just trying to get a better understanding of where it might rank in the entire scheme of 94's over the years. That happened to be a year that AMF owned Harley and everyone swears the quality had been lessened compared to other years when Harley Davidson actually owned the production of those bikes. I had an old 1977 Harley Davidson motorcycle.for example. What I'm curious about is quality of this particular gun (meaning serial number, year produced, etc) as compared to other models or years of the model 94. I understand there are good models and different models and models with checkering, whistles and bells, etc. About a Model 94 in new condition being worth $350. After I had asked, I did snoop around the internet enough to find what the AE represented. Hey.thank you very much for your quick response.
